Greetings to all. I am in need of your assistance. Earlier today, a request was made to remove Lewis Kanner from the Past Chairs listserv (he was Chair in 1977-1978). In investigating this, I found an obituary for Mr. Kanner (https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/herald/obituary.aspx?n=lewis-mitchell-kanner&pid=190011780&fhid=11470), which indicates that he passed away in August, 2018, and he was preceded in death by his wife Marcia. I never met Mr. Kanner, and finding out about his passing was obviously unexpected. Tradition holds that the passing of a Past Chair results in the presentation of a plaque to family members at an EC meeting, but at present none of the Executive Committee has any information whatsoever with which to start the process, other than from the online obituary (which provides limited information).

So, I seek your assistance. Please send a reply to this email with any information that you may have regarding Mr. Kanner that will assist us. I have opened the listserv so that everyone can see the responses that you provide. Given that Mr. Kanner's service as Chair ended 41 years ago, I am not quite sure as to how this will proceed.
