Greetings RPPTL Friends!

First and foremost, I hope this email fines you and your families safe! These are definitely crazy times.  I've debated whether to postpone even sending this out until we have a bit more clarity as we head into the fall.  However, I'm sick of the gloom and doom and need some good news.  So here we go------ Jackson Hole!

I hope you are as excited as Cathy and I are for this trip. Jackson Hole is truly an amazing place.  You will have the opportunity to come face-to-face with wildlife, find the tranquility of alpine lakes, be mesmerized by the grandeur of the Teton range with a rise over 7,000 feet from the valley floor, immerse yourself into its deep history, and leave your cares behind as you don your favorite (or newly purchased) cowboy hat and boots. Our family has been enjoying the Jackson area for generations. We hope you enjoy the magical quality of this idyllic setting.

For those of you who missed the last Executive Council meeting, please click on this link to our hype video- RPPTL Style-to get you excited for our trip:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/qoy8pew8xuevqov/RPPTL%20Jackson%20Preview.mp4?dl=0

After you have watched the video, please see the attached Brochure, which provides the details of the meeting and schedule.  The registration price for adults is $795 and includes the Wednesday Night Welcome Reception, all events and meals on Thursday, the Friday event at Diamond Cross, breakfast every morning, as well as access to the Hospitality Suite. The registration price for children under 21 is $295 and includes those same events but with separate ticketing for the Thursday and Friday evening events. Full refunds will be given for cancellations or changes made prior to July 31. Given the current COVID-19 situation, we intend to be as flexible as possible with changes. We will keep you updated with any extensions of the above policies. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide separate pricing for the events.

Trip highlights include the following:

  1. Welcome reception on Wednesday evening at the Four Seasons Handlebar Lounge;
  2. Wildlife Safari through Grand Teton National Park on Thursday morning, with lunch at the iconic Jackson Lake Lodge overlooking the Teton Mountain Range;
  3. Thursday evening reception and dinner at the top of the mountain at the Rendezvous Lodge overlooking Jackson Hole;
  4. Friday optional tours including fly fishing school, hiking around Jenny Lake, the Jackson Wildlife Museum, and a scenic float trip down the Snake River;
  5. Friday dinner and reception at the Diamond Cross Ranch, an authentic Western venue with a touch of modern elegance, along with a Horse Whispering demonstration, live music, cowboy poetry, campfires, and s'mores.
  6. Optional tours on Saturday along with a dine-a-round in downtown Jackson.
  7. Optional tour to Yellowstone National Park on Sunday.

All transportation is included.

Two important notes regarding the optional tours:

  1. It is possible that changes to the optional tours will need to be made as we get closer to our trip, but we will be working to minimize those changes.
  2. If a particular optional tour does not have a sufficient number of people signing up to justify the cost of the tour, we may need to move you to that same tour but at a different time or day - again, we will do our best to minimize inconvenience and change.

I am sending this email to our Past Chairs and Executive Committee to give you a preliminary heads up.  It is our plan to open the online registration portal for registrations before the weekend.  We are just awaiting our room block link from the Four Seasons.  My plan is to give you through the weekend to register before we send the email out to the entire Executive Council.  I'll send you a follow up email when the link is up and running.

As with our in-state programs this year, you will first register for the meeting events, and then you will receive a confirmation e-mail together with a link to book your room at the Four Seasons (note that this will be by separate email).  Please only book one room.  We will be monitoring the rooming list and will let you know if additional rooms are available in the block.  Before the craziness of COVID-19, we had tremendous interest shown in this trip.  We'll see how it goes but we are not opening this registration to non-Executive Council members of the RPPTL Section at this time. Accordingly, please do not forward this e-mail to non-Executive Council members. We will be monitoring the registrations and will have to cancel any improper registrations that are made in this regard. We are limited by cost, expense and the locations of our events, but if there is availability after sufficient time for sign-up by Executive Council members, we will open it to general Section members.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send an e-mail to whennessey@gunster.commailto:whennessey@gunster.com or mobos@floridabar.orgmailto:mobos@floridabar.org (do not reply to this e-mail, as it has been sent out through the listserv and will not make it to me or Mary Ann).

Thanks, and have a great week!

Regards,

Bill Hennessey

Good morning.  It is taking us longer than anticipated to get the hotel link.  We are going to have to do this the old fashioned way.  Those of you that have already registered should have received a confirmation email with the room block info.  You can make a room reservation by calling the Four Seasons directly at 800-295-5281, Group Name: Florida Bar.  They are available 8:00 am - 3:30 pm mountain time for reservations.  Please DO NOT share this room block info with anyone other than our Past Chairs and officers at this point.  I am going to be sending out the registration materials to the Executive Council tomorrow afternoon.  I want to make sure that all of you have an opportunity to get yours in first.  The cancellation policy on the rooms will be a full refund by July 31, 2020.  I may extend that deadline depending on how things go this summer.

With happy thoughts and well wishes, I am

Sincerely yours,

Bill Hennessey

Our Florida Bar link for registration for the Jackson Hole meeting is now active. We are still waiting on our room registration link from the Four Seasons resort. They are working on reduced staffing which has made things a bit difficult. Once we have the link, Mary Ann and I will share it with those of you who have registered and give you a chance to get your room reservations in before the rest of the group. For those of you who missed the last Executive Council meeting, please click on this link to our hype video- RPPTL Style-to get you excited for our trip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qoy8pew8xuevqov/RPPTL%20Jackson%20Preview.mp4?dl=0 After you have watched the video, please see the attached Brochure, which provides the details of the meeting and schedule. Trip highlights include the following: 1. Welcome reception on Wednesday evening at the Four Seasons Handlebar Lounge; 2. Wildlife Safari through Grand Teton National Park on Thursday morning, with lunch at the iconic Jackson Lake Lodge overlooking the Teton Mountain Range; 3. Thursday evening reception and dinner at the top of the mountain at the Rendezvous Lodge overlooking Jackson Hole; 4. Friday optional tours including fly fishing school, hiking around Jenny Lake, the Jackson Wildlife Museum, and a scenic float trip down the Snake River; 5.
