Dear Lead ALMs,
I hope you’re all doing well. As part of our role within the Real Property,
Probate, and Trust Law Section—and in my capacity as Co-Chair of the
Communications Committee I am asking all Lead ALMs to send the below to the
general membership in your respective Circuit.
Colleen and I be submitting a quarterly At-Large Member
Communications Committee tracking report to Brenda.
To help compile this report, please send a brief update on any recent
activity or outreach within your circuit. When doing so, be sure to include
me or Colleen in the email. If I don’t receive anything from you, I’ll have
no choice but to mark your circuit as having no reported ALM activity for
this quarter.
Please make an effort to circulate the request to your fellow ALMs within
the circuit and encourage participation. This is a great opportunity to
highlight your work and strengthen our collective engagement with section
members.
Thanks for your cooperation, and I look forward to working with all of you
on our new initiatives.
Warm regards,
Arlene Udick

The Florida Rules of Civil Procedure just underwent the most substantive
overhaul in a generation. Are you truly ready and understand what these
amendments do and how they will impact your cases, including the ones you
have pending right now? If you set foot in a courtroom, if you handle a
file in litigation, even if you do not go to court but represent clients
who sue or get sued, then you need to know the changes as everything you
know from the beginning of the case until the final hearing or trial will
be different. The courts were ready on January 1, 2025, and to make sure
your answer to the judge is "I didn’t know," you need to watch (or
