Past Chairs and Executive Committee Members.

Registration for the Yacht Club is now open.  I am going to be sending out the email below to our Executive Council later this afternoon.  I kindly request that you get your registrations in as soon as you can.  Mary Ann and I have held back rooms to accommodate VIPs like yourselves but we want to make sure that we have a room for each of you who wish to attend in person.  Thanks!!!

[Walt Disney World Resort]

Greetings friends!

Great News!  Our plans for December 3-5, 2020 at Disney's Yacht Club remain a full go!  Mary and I have been working closely with Disney's staff to put together a fantastic, fun, and safe program.  We are going to handle registration for this meeting a little differently because we are still working out some of the final details of our events and aren't quite ready to send out the full brochure. Specifically, I am opening the hotel link now.  The booking link is https://book.passkey.com/go/floridabarrpptl2020https://book.passkey.com/go/floridabarrpptl2020.  I will be sending out the full brochure and the Florida Bar registration link when we return from Jackson Hole the week of October 5.  We will have our typical full range of events at various Disney venues on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening.  Thursday is going to kick off with a family-friendly and fun beachside reception at Disney's Yacht Club.  The final details on the Friday and Saturday night events are still in the final planning stages but I am 100% certain they will be special and full of surprises. (I promise--- fun surprises--- it is 2020 after all).

I have attached to this email our committee meeting schedule for the week of November 30.  As you will see, we are planning to start the week with a number of our General Standing and CLE committees meeting via Zoom.  All of our committee meetings on Thursday and Friday, as well as our Executive Council meeting on Saturday, will be in-person at the hotel and available via Zoom.  I want to make it absolutely --- 100%--- clear that no one Is obligated to attend these meetings in-person.  Again, we will be making arrangements so that everyone can participate in all of the meetings via Zoom.  No one will be penalized in any way if they choose not to attend in-person.  If you are in a high-risk category or are uncomfortable attending, we would encourage you to stay home for this meeting and join us for our next set of meetings when COVID-19 is behind us (hopefully soon!).

Disney has assured us that they will be complying with the most current recommendations and guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and the Florida and Orange County Departments of Health.  Disney's most current list of Health & Safety Precautions can be found on their website at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/experience-updates/.    We will be requesting that all attendees at any events affirm on the day of attendance that they meet and agree to the conditions set forth in the Attendee Health Attestation below. If you cannot affirm and attest to the information on the Attendee Health Attestation on the day of the event, you will not be permitted to attend the in-person event.  We will be updating our COVID-19 guidelines on the RPPTL Website to address matters such as social distancing and facial coverings as the meeting approaches.

We realize that circumstances are currently evolving and that you may need to cancel after the posted deadlines. The hotel deadline for cancellations is 30 days before arrival for reasons other an attendee's inability to our Attendee Health Attestation prior to arrival.

Keep your eye out for our RPPTL registration as well as the brochure which will be coming out the week of October 5.  It will be important for you to get your registrations in early because we will be capping our attendance at our live events and committee meetings to allow for proper social distancing.  If you register for the hotel and fail to register for the meeting before October 30, your hotel reservation may be cancelled to accommodate guests who have registered for the meetings.  Please register for only one room until we have a good idea of the number of attendees.  I will let everyone know if additional rooms are available in the block after the RPPTL registration is open.

Looking forward to a fun meeting,

Your RPPTL Chair,

Bill Hennessey
