Hi all:
I have a small matter and looking for a cost effective way to establish a non-party is not a licensed contractor even though he claims to be. I’m thinking judicial notice of the DBPR license search web-site print out under 90.202(12) Facts that are not subject to dispute because they are capable of accurate and ready determination by resort to sources whose accuracy cannot be questioned.
Thank you for any comments or suggestions.
Best regards,
Daniel Greene

Or, get an affidavit from someone who has searched the database. That’s how prosecutors do it, have a building department official aver that he or she has searched the database.

Daniel – You should be able to request a certificate (see sample attached) from DBPR – which is ‘self-authenticating’ per 489.113(8) and also cites to 90.803(10) and 90.902.

I have requested certificates of non-licensure from DBPR in the past. I think they are about $50 for the evidentiary form. Those have worked. I tried to get you the link but couldn’t readily find it. Maybe someone on here did the right thing and bookmarked it.

I have requested certificates of non-licensure from DBPR in the past. I think they are about $50 for the evidentiary form. Those have worked. I tried to get you the link but couldn’t readily find it. Maybe someone on here did the right thing and bookmarked it.
