I write with the sad news that my mother, Mary Swaine, was diagnosed last Friday night with a rare form of stomach cancer.  Mom and Dad are meeting with her doctor today and Moffitt doctors later in the week.  It is too early to know next steps, but hopefully there will be some clarity within the next two weeks.  Mom would rather not talk about it, so please do not call her, but she welcomes text messages of encouragement to her cell phone: 863.381.2202.  Dad is doing as well as can be expected.

Please keep her and my family in your prayers.  We appreciate your friendship and support.

Thank you for letting us know.

It is one of God's mysteries He has not chosen to explain to us why bad things happen to good people.  Please know that she will be in our prayers.

They have enough on their minds and it doesn't seem appropriate to intrude on your mom or dad's dealing with this and I won't, but know that we are all with them and hoping for the best, a sentiment I'm sure is shared by all who know them.

We have discontinued masks required for appointments.  We have all been vaccinated multiple times.  If you would like us to wear a mask, please let us know prior to your appointment and we will accommodate you.
