Congratulations on your appointment or reappointment as an At Large Member for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section (RPPTL). I am the Director of the RPPTL at Large Members and look forward to working with you.
Each At Large Member is a member of the RPPTL Executive Council. The Executive Council meets several times a year for long weekends. At Large Members typically meet on Thursday or Friday of the RPPTL meetings, which occur in locations around the state. Each conference features committee meetings, a Real Property Division and Probate & Trust Division Roundtable on Saturday morning, social events and activities in the evenings for you and your families, and the Executive Council meeting following the Roundtables on Saturday. The Executive Council weekends offer an excellent opportunity for camaraderie, professional development, fun and relaxation. I am excited to welcome you to the RPPTL Family.
Our next meeting with be at The Breakers in Palm Beach next Thursday at 5:00 pm. The RPPTL meetings and events, including the annual Legislative Update, begin Thursday morning and run through Saturday night. You should have already received details, but let me know if you haven't. Attached is the ALMS meeting agenda, including a list of the responsibilities expected from an At Large Member and the list of this year's ALMS and the ALMS Committee for which they have volunteered. Each At Large Member must join at least one ALMS Committee. We will discuss that on Thursday so you will understand what each Committee does and decide which is most appealing to you.
Before each At Large Member meeting, I will circulate an agenda like I'm doing now. Even though the ALMS meetings can be attended via zoom, each ALM is expected to attend at least two in- person meetings.
