Construction Law Committee Meeting Sept. 14, 2026
Good afternoon, CLC --
Jason, Brett and I look forward to seeing you on Monday, September 13, 2026, for the next meeting of one of RPPTL’s best committees. Minutes of the August Meeting and Agenda for Mondays’ meeting are attached.
I trust and hope that “back to school” has gone well for those of you for whom that is part of your life. I’m hesitant to wade into any comments, snarky or otherwise, about college football, so I won’t, other than to note that W&L won its first game against Wittenberg University, and the historical irony that todays’ game is at “Gettysburg College.” I would also note that although the W&L/Sewanee rivalry that began in 1892 has ended, at least for a while, evidently because of “scheduling challenges,” the Generals won 9 of the last 10 matchups, and carries an overall 47-22 win/loss advantage over the Tigers (there were some hiatuses in the annual event during both WWI and WWII).
Monday will also bring the much-anticipated presentation by Megan Schroder and Lacey Corona on the CCNA/P3 statutes and the working challenges between the two. They were two of the authors of the Florida Bar Journal articlehttps://www.floridabar.org/the-florida-bar-journal/primer-on-the-consultants-competitive-negotiation-acts-processes-and-pitfalls-including-advanced-topics-on-design-build-construction-management-integrated-project-delivery-and-pu/ that ultimately led to our Committee’s legislative “fix” proposal that was approved by the RPPTL Executive Council at its last meeting.
Finally, hopefully the hiccups in the transition to the new RPPTL listserv have been fixed and everyone who is supposed to get this will get it. If you do not receive this, please let me know. 😉
